Our Story

Andrea Miles founded Charing Cross Strategies to apply her extensive government and corporate experience and to help clients navigate the intricacies of energy law and public policy.

Beginning her career in Washington, D.C., Andrea worked as a legislative and communications aide on Capitol Hill before returning to her home state to earn her law degree from the University of Oklahoma.  Andrea subsequently spent over a decade working for a Fortune 500 oil and gas company, initially in the general counsel's office and later as manager of regulatory affairs and compliance. Andrea returned to Washington to serve as a senior counsel for the nation’s leading oil and natural gas trade association before settling in Dallas to be closer to her family. 

In addition to her legal and policy expertise,  Andrea's background in government affairs, stakeholder engagement, and media relations offers her clients a 360-degree assessment of the energy landscape from the courtroom to the boardroom.  Andrea holds a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and Wyoming.
